Working with the course forum

The forum is used to discuss problem issues, for consultations, and also allows students to upload their files for construction on the basis of their educational discussions and the students themselves to evaluate each other's work.

A new forum is created by the course teacher, and a new topic or a new message is any registered user.

In the e-learning system, the forum is indicated by an icon.

Go to the forum by clicking the left mouse button on the forum name (Figure 1).

After selecting the forum name, the user can create a new discussion topic. To do this, use the link[Add new topic](Figure 2).

After the [Add New Subject] button is activated, a page opens in which you must fill in the appropriate fields with the subject and the text of the message.

The presented text formatting tools are similar to the tools of any text editor: font, size, style, location, numbering and bulleted lists, etc.

In addition, you can download a previously prepared file, as well as a file moved to a specific folder on the server.

To download a file, you must fill in the required fields ("Topic", "Message"),click on the [Add] button (Figure 3).

Then the previously prepared file is downloaded (Figure 4).

Writing or editing the text is completed by clicking the [Send to Forum]button.After that the added topic will be displayed on the main forum page (Figure 5)

When viewing forum posts, you can also create a new topic (link [Add new topic]), reply to a specific topic message (links [Discuss this thread], [Reply]).An example of discussion of the topic is shown in Figure 6.
